FIFA 09 consists in football or soccer, however you prefer. You controll an entire international team or club, in FIFA 09 there are many more clubs than before and the teams and transfers have been updated. Now, what makes the 09 game any different than 08. It has this new playable mode calle Be a Pro, which allows you to controll a single player of your choice througout an entire leage or season for up to four virtual years. This mode first appeared in FIFA 08 but was excluded in PSP version. This mode gives you such a personal connection which almost feels RPG-like... you even upgrade different traits like tackling, kicking, passing, etc. and if you do well in a match completing tasks called player and match tasks, these might include succesfully tackling a certain number of times or having a certain possesion percentage, you get exp points which level you up and give you team influence which allows you to do more thing like requesting a crossed ball or up to managing the formations!

Another very important thing present now in this game is the Infrastucture multiplayer mode which allows you to play with other people around the globe with your EA account. There are several different ways of playing online, theres this new thing called Interactive Leagues.

In this mode you start off by picking a team in which have to stick with for the entire season and then everyone in that club (everyone who chose the same club than you did) uses that team against other clubs and tries to win to get their team to the highest rank. Example: I chose Man. Untied and there are 38 people that are in that club, so every single one of us plays seperately with the entire team to try to take our team to the #1 rank.

There is also regular online exhibiton matches with ranking which I play all the time ...
Now you can also connect and the game will automatically check for transfers or formation changes and automatically update it.
