What's the best pair of Puma soccer cleats?

My boyfriend's b-day is May 25th, and I've decided to get him a new pair of Puma soccer cleats, beings he's been complaining about his falling apart. He plays outdoor soccer, and is goalie/keep, and swears by Puma above Nike/Adidas/All others. So, I'm looking on the website, trying to decide what pair would be best when I realize I have no idea. I'm a long distance runner, so although I know a lot about running shoes, it's way different than soccer cleats. So if somebody could help give me a brief breakdown of what each shoe is best for, etc. I'd greatly appreciate it!
I could always just outright ask my boyfriend what's the one he'd prefer, but I dont want to ruin the surprise.... lol. Thanks!

I would go with the Puma Powercats or King XL. I'm guessing the ones that you are referring to as falling apart are the V1.08 or V1.06. The Puma Powercats ($210) are made of kangaroo leather, has a sturdy heel counter, and good support. The King XL ($130) are made of a kangaroo leather as well, run true to size in width, and have decent support. Puma runs about a half size small fyi. The two cleats feel completely different with the Powercats have side lacing and the King XL having center lacing. Also, the Powercats have a bladed cleat which some people do not like and the King XL have a more tradition cleat that is round.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
