How do you shoot more accurately in soccer ?
Today was my first practice , and it's the first time i've played football (soccer). When it was my turn to kick , it went kinda slow and straight into the goalies hands. Most of the kids laughed ,and I felt kinda embarrassed. So how do you shoot more accurately ,and what's the best way to shoot ?
1. Don't get dejected. Take it in stride and keep trying.
2. If you have to practice again tomorrow, you will need to get up early and put in at least 30 minutes practicing on your own...and do that every day. If you don't go out and practice on your own for an hour or two.....at a CONTROLLED, SLOW pace, don't hurt yourself - remember slow is fast.
3. Get a picture of your squad if you have it, or find a way to get pictures of those kids who laughed. If you have the squad pic, blow it up as big as you can and get a 1 foot by 1 foot image of each of the kids who laughed at you.
One by one, print them out and glue them to cardboard attached to a post....
Put that post in the middle of the goal.
Start about half the distance of the penalty spot and aim...gently hit those little bastards images.
Once you are hitting that target at least half the time, step back to the penalty spot and repeat. Once you are hitting that at least half the time....
Move the target to different spots within the goal. Repeat.
Don't try hitting them hard, just work on control first....you need that before you start learning about bending.
