I need help for DC field trip?
I have no clue what to bring to DC. I am going in the end of May. 3 days 2 nights. Here is it so far:
1 pair of pants
2 skirts
2 shorts
3 t-shirts
2 dress up shirts (going out to fancy dinner places
1 sundress
toothbrush and toothpaste
hair brush
flat iron
hair dryer
make up (shh don't tell my mom!)
contacts case
5 extra pair of contacts (you haven't seen me with those little suckers)
my glasses
allergy medication
3 pairs of shoes (flip flops, tennis shoes, soccer slides
i-pod (for bus 8 hours ugh)
lots of gatorade
mouse (for my curls)
5 pairs of socks
3 books (i go through those things like walking)
some fashion magazines
laptop
no cell phone unfair there not allowed
sleeping mask
Bose headphones (one of my friends snores)
DVD player
couple DVDs (house, law & order so what if I am a little young ha ha)
and that's it
btw I am on a bus for 8 hours so yeah I am going to need the DVD player.
You are taking too much. You won't be able to manage carrying the bags. Here are the things you can do without:
DVD player
couple DVDs
sleeping mask
laptop
sundress
flat iron
Gatorade (you can buy it in DC)
one skirt (you'll only need one)
You should add a pair of dressy shoes that go with your skirt. Also add a sweater or a light jacket in case it gets a bit chilly, particularly in the evening.

Gifts for the Family Christmas Event
Each year the families get together on the Christmas holidays. If your lucky and are one of them and you’re a easy going kind of person you’re looking forward to it . For some however it can be a time of walking on egg shells and as well be a very stressful time.
Now add the mix of children running around and the added eggnog and rum and you have a possibility of a disaster. This is the time to have planned ahead and bought some good Christmas gifts for the family to keep them entertained throughout the day.
It is Christmas Day and the Christmas gifts are opened and the food has been planned out for the day, you need to have something to do for the rest of the day. The kids can and will entertain themselves with the Christmas gifts they got. What do the parents and older children do?
You need a few family games and entertaining gifts to keep them from going from good will and peace to resentment just downright being unpleasant. You need plans to keep them happy, entertained and occupied.
Great family gifts are Puzzles for a group to work on. Unique Christmas gifts like larger models to be carefully assembled work well. These gifts keep the family busy for hours and can keep the personal troubles to a minimum.
Another great Christmas gift for the family is a video game that two or four players can play. Something like a soccer game of football game. This will keep the guys out of the kitchen. Great family games like Clue or murder mystery are wonderful as well and everyone can get involved for hours.
Having the games planned out and ready to go will save you time and heartache.
Many families have a movie tradition. To keep the children calm and the parent’s sanity in check, watch a great Christmas movie. Ours were Scrooge and the cartoon The Grinch that stolid Christmas. This is family time and when the kids are small, it is a time you will remember the rest of your life. They grow up and are gone so very fast and you need to make these family Christmas Days memorable. (Take lots of pictures)
Now I’m going to tell you about one Christmas I pulled the greatest Christmas joke on my two buys ever. I know you’re thinking why, but when I tell you this you will see. My oldest boy was just at an age where he was sure there was no Santa Claus. He was telling my youngest there was no Santa and was so sure of it. I told him I would prove there was and I would set up a trap and prove it.
I got my youngest to help as my oldest sat back and watched. We had a fire place in the living room and it had a hearth in front of it. I said if Santa comes down the fire place he would have to walk across the hearth into the living room. My young son and I took the ashes from the fire place and spread them out across a spot on the hearth.
Late that night after they went to bed I got my sons baby shoes and made foot prints across the ashes and on to the carpet. Early in the morning I jumped up went in their room yelling to come and see what had happened.
Now you’re going to want to have a camera as this is something to hold over their head the rest of your life. When they come in the room and see the foot prints they will for lack of better words freak out. My oldest son needed to sit down and I thought he was going to faint. I pushed it to the limit and told him I would prove to him Santa was real.
Ok I could go on about this great Christmas but to bring this to a point, this was one of the best and most memorable Christmases the boys ever had and I had the pictures to remind them for years to come. Planning out the holidays will make them perfect. Bringing the family together every year is a wonderful and memorable Christmas Gift.
Have a Happy holiday and Merry Christmas.
